A complete online reference for New Zealand tourism and travel reviews featuring a comprehensive restaurant and activity guide, backpacker hostels, holiday homes and bed & breakfasts, all organised by region and category. Embracing Web 2.0 philosophies and technology, users can rate, review and tag all site content or upload their own photos and articles for others to view and comment on. KiwiWise is an all in one resource for anyone wishing to plan a holiday in New Zealand, or simply view stunning photography of this magnificent country.

In a magazine style format, the homepage is a showcase of site highlights. Featuring a slideshow of top rated New Zealand stock photos, independent reviews submitted by KiwiWise users, the latest travel articles and current competitions.

Site content is organised and filtered by regions and categories, allowing users to find what they are looking for quickly. For example, users may start by viewing all New Zealand Stock Photos, refine to landscape shots of Northland, then finally choose to sort by rating, displaying the most impressive photos first.

Tag Clouds are a great way to see what’s most popular on a website. As part of the review/rating system on KiwiWise, users may also “tag” content with keywords that they feel are appropriate. KiwiWise Tag Cloud page then displays these linked tags at different sizes according to their popularity, allowing users to click through to a list of relevant content.

Visitors to KiwiWise can find a wealth of information on all of the activities, hostels, restaurants and holiday accomodation listed on the website. In addition to all the text and reviews, users can access photos and interactive Google Maps to pinpoint the exact location of what they are viewing.
